Accommodation – please ask for a list. Plentiful accommodation is available within a few minutes’ walk at prices to suit a range of pockets. However please note that York guest houses and hotels tend to book out early, especially during summer and at weekends.
Timings – courses normally start at 10 am (coffee from 9.30 am) and run to 4 pm or 4.30 pm each day.
Refreshments – coffee/tea is available on arrival and throughout the day, normally with biscuits, and sometimes cake in the afternoon.
Lunchtime – please bring a packed lunch. Alternatively there are several takeaways and a Sainsbury’s Local within five minutes walk of the grounds. Fridge and microwave are available if you need them.
Restaurants – again, a wide selection is available within easy walking distance of the grounds at a range of prices from pub grub to fine dining. A walk inside the city walls offers many more possibilities. Book early if you are looking for a table at a top-rated restaurant.
Policies – the Northern Academy follows the policies of Croquet England and York Croquet Club in such matters as safeguarding, equal opportunities and health and safety.
